This Privacy Policy describes how Lyrics Library (“we”, “us”, or “our”), operated by Eleazer Judan Toluan in Pasig City, Manila, Philippines, handles information when you use the Lyrics Library mobile applications for iOS and Android and this website at https://lyricslibrary.app.
It reflects how the product works today. It is not a substitute for legal advice. If you have questions, email eleazertoluan@gmail.com.
1. What Lyrics Library is
Lyrics Library lets you write, search, organize, and perform song lyrics (including chords and setlists). Your library can stay on-device while you use an anonymous session, or sync to the cloud when you sign in with Apple or Google.
2. Information we collect
Account and authentication
- Anonymous account. On first launch we may create an anonymous Firebase Authentication user so your library can sync and be secured by ownership rules without requiring a name or email.
- Apple or Google sign-in. If you choose to sign in, we receive the identifiers and profile details those providers share with Firebase Authentication (for example a unique user ID, and when available your name, email address, and profile photo). We use this to keep you signed in and to associate your library with your account.
- We do not receive or store your Apple or Google password.
Library content you create
When signed in (including anonymously), we store content you create or save in the app under your user ID, such as:
- Songs (titles, lyrics/chord text, and related metadata like artist, folder, tags, transpose/capo settings)
- Folders and setlists
- App preferences you choose to sync
This content is stored in Google Cloud Firestore (named database region asia-southeast1, Singapore). Access is limited by security rules so that only your authenticated account can read or write your documents.
Technical and support information
- If you email us, we receive whatever you send (message content, your email address, and related metadata from your mail provider).
- If you use Suggest a feature in the app, we store your suggestion category, message text, platform, and app version under your account in Firestore so we can improve the product.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers may process standard server logs (for example IP address, user agent, and request timestamps) when you visit this website. We do not run advertising trackers on this marketing site.
Product analytics
The iOS and Android apps use Firebase Analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase) to understand whether the product is working and which features people use. That includes:
- Automatic app events such as first open and session start
- Screens you open (Library, Search, Performance, and similar)
- Feature events such as signing in, saving a song, creating a setlist, starting performance mode, searching lyrics, and opening or completing optional Support purchases (product ID and tip vs monthly only — not amounts or song content)
- A Firebase user ID and whether the session is a guest or a signed-in account, so we can tell unique users from repeat sessions
We do not send song titles, lyrics, search queries, names, or email addresses in analytics events. This is first-party product analytics only: the apps do not include an ads SDK, do not show ads, and do not collect advertising identifiers (IDFA / AAID) or enable Google Analytics advertising / personalization features.
Optional Support purchases
If you choose to tip or subscribe through the App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google process the payment. We may receive product identifiers, platform (App Store or Google Play), transaction identifiers, and timestamps so we can record that you are a supporter on your account profile and show Support history in the app. We do not receive or store your full card number or purchase amounts. Support purchases do not unlock extra features.
3. Information we do not collect for ads or marketing analytics
In the current apps:
- We do not show ads.
- We do not use in-app advertising identifiers for marketing.
- Firebase Analytics / Google Analytics advertising features are not enabled for the product configuration described here.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, sync, and secure your lyrics library
- Authenticate you and recover your account across devices
- Improve reliability and fix bugs
- Understand how the apps are used so we can improve them
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with law and protect against abuse
5. Processors and third parties
We use Google Firebase (including Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Firebase Analytics) as our cloud provider. Google processes data according to its own terms and privacy policy as our processor. Sign-in with Apple and Google is subject to those companies’ policies as well.
We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users and the service.
6. Data retention
We keep account and library data while your account remains active. If you ask us to delete your account and cloud library, we will delete or anonymize that data from our systems within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records for legal or security reasons.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights for Lyrics Library cloud data, contact eleazertoluan@gmail.com from the email address associated with your Apple or Google account (or describe how we can verify ownership of an anonymous account).
You can also:
- Sign out in the app
- Uninstall the app from your device
- Manage Apple or Google account permissions in those providers’ settings
Account and cloud data deletion. In the iOS and Android apps, open Account, then use Delete Account. That permanently deletes your Firebase Authentication account and your cloud library (songs, folders, and setlists). If you cannot open the app, email eleazertoluan@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my Lyrics Library account” from the email address associated with your Apple or Google account (or describe how we can verify ownership of an anonymous account).
8. Children
Lyrics Library is intended for users who are at least 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. International users
We are based in the Philippines. Cloud data is stored in Singapore (and may transit Google’s global infrastructure). By using the service you understand your information may be processed in these locations.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. We will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
